S. Rep. Duncan Hunter, a Republican presidential contender who has served as chairman of the House Armed Services Committee for the past four years, adamantly defended the Bush administration's handling of the war in Iraq yesterday. It's too soon to tell whether the American occupation has been a failure, Hunter said.
